The problem
I wanted to host Family Feud at a house party, with a proper board on the TV and me running the game from my phone, not from a laptop in the corner.
What I built
A small server that holds the game and pushes it live to two screens: the board on the TV and a host remote on my phone, which joins by scanning a QR code. It handles teams, rounds, strikes, scores and a Fast Money finale, and it remembers the game if the laptop restarts.
How I built it
Built with Claude Code ahead of the party: first the game state and the live updates, then the board, then the host controls, then the question bank, with most of the questions written for our group.
How it's used
It ran a full game night on a TV, with the board updating the moment I revealed an answer.
